Conor McGregor’s coach talks next fight
Conor McGregor’s head coach John Kavanagh has revealed he will urge his most famous student to take a mixed martial arts fight next rather than another a boxing match.
“You want to know my opinion?” Kavanagh told BBC Northern Ireland. “I’ll be pushing very hard for MMA.
“The boxing was a nice detour from what we’ve done but mixed martial arts is my passion so if I have anything to do with it, he’ll be in the octagon this year.”
Joe Rogan hails Khabib Nurmagomedov
UFC commentator Joe Rogan believes Khabib Nurmagomedov’s dominant victory over Edson Barboza last month has made him the scariest fighter in the lightweight division.
“Khabib, after this performance, has set it up to a place where he’s the most terrifying lightweight contender in the world,” he said during a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast.
“Then you have Tony Ferguson, whose a motherf****r and has the interim championship, then you have Conor – who knows what happens with him?
“I think the UFC’s going to give him some time, let the holidays pass, see what the f**k happens and then make some moves.”
