Following the critical and financial disaster of Justice League, movie fans have been wondering what’s in store for the future of the DC Extended Universe.
One project in development is a Batman solo movie, which originally had Affleck down as writer and director.
However, War For The Planet Of The Apes director Matt Reeves is now helming the project, with a different script and possibly a new Dark Knight.
Now the filmmaker has give an update on the hotly-anticipated comic book movie.
Speaking with The Q&A with Jeff Goldsmith, Reeves said of the script: “I am outlining. I have the story worked out, and I am outlining.”

Aside from the story, Affleck will return for Flashpoint, but he’s not confirmed or denied reprising the Dark Knight for the Batman solo movie.
He recently said: “I want to direct a Batman movie, and I never got a script that I was happy with, so they are starting over and writing another script. And right now, I think a lot of different possibilities I think for the way the DC Universe could go, and I will just follow my interests in pursing that.
“And I know that I love working with this group of people, and it was a real joy for me to make this movie [Justice League].”
Meanwhile rumours have abounded that Reeves is eyeing up other actors, with Gyllenhaal being the favourite.
A release date and title for the Batman solo movie are still unknown.
