He is only 22 but about to become a huge star when the Goden Globes shines a light on his extraordinary talent tonight.
As well as the lead in two of this season’s most nominated movies, he has another heavyweight role lined up for 2018 which is already looking set to bring in another round of awards attention.
Chalamet has also been hand-picked by Woody Allen to headline his next all-star romantic comedy later this year.

WHO IS HE?
Timothee Chalamet was born on December 27, 1995 in Manhattan, New York. His father is French and his mother is Jewish American and a former Broadway dancer.

His sensitive portrayal of young love and sexual awakening has received unanimous acclaim from critics and major awards nominations, with an Oscar nod expected to follow.
GAY SEX AND THAT PEACH SCENE
Chalamet and his co-star Armie Hammer have been praised for their on-screen chemistry and emotional connection. They revealed to Ellen that their first day on set was a baptism of fire when director Luca Guadagnino started the with a passionate kssing scene.
Chalamet said: “We’re making out and making out and no-one’s saying stop. All of a sudden, we both kind of stop and look, and he [Guadagnino] had just walked away and left us right there, rolling around in the grass.”
The film also hit headlines over a graphic scene where Chalemt simulates masturbation, using a ripe peach. Guadagnino admitred he had reservations about the scene, but went ahead after he and his young star both “tested” the theory to see if it worked…
LADY BIRD
Chalamet also stars in one of this year’s other most acclaimed movies. Greta Gerwig’s directorial debut has an almost perfect 99% aggregate on Rotten Tomatoes and features another awards favourite Saoirse Ronan. Although he is heterosexual, Chalamet again kisses another man in this movie.
WHAT NEXT?
Chalamet looks set to sweep up more awards nominations next year when Beautiful Boy is released. He plays a young meth addict struggling to recover under the watchful eye of his father, played by Steve Carrell.
The young star will also play the lead in A Rainy Day In New York, Woody Allen’s latest romcom starring Selena Gomez, Elle Fanning, Jude Law, Diego Luna, Rebecca Hall and Liev Schreiber.
MADONNA LINKS
Chalamet was linked to Madonna’s daughter Lourdes when they were both students at the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. Chalamet was starring in Homeland at the time. The pair dated in 2013 and broke up the following year.
