Footage shows the baited bull charge towards the man with force in an arena in Sincelejo, in the northern Colombian town Sucre.
Jorge Barrios, the victim, was taking part in the controversial “Corralejas” event, which traditionally celebrates bull fighting and baiting.
In the footage a large number of people are seen baiting a small number of bulls in a ring, waving red capes to entice the animals to attack them and jumping out of the way at the last minute.
But Mr Barrios was not so lucky as he was unable out of the bull’s way in time, resulting in the animal running into him at full force and goring him with its horns.
The incensed bull then rages on as other participants, clearly shocked, run over to Barrios to help him.

Local media reported he was a construction worker and may have been intoxicated when he joined in the bullfight.
It is not the first time the Corraejas festival has sparked controversy over the years.
Some local people believe the festival is outdated and cruel to animals, as well as causing injuries to participants.
