Forget PUBG PS4 release date, Paladins Battlegrounds to rival Fortnite Battle Royale

It has now been announced that a new Battle Royale mode is being launched for Paladins.

Paladins Battlegrounds will have its own unique spin on the Battle Royale craze, offering players the chance to explore big new maps to loot outposts for gear.

Hi-Rez has confirmed that the maps will be 300 times the size of the usual Paladins Siege maps but will also include standard squad play.

This will mean trying to push to be the last team standing, rather than just the last person on the island.

Some of the usual trademark gameplay options are also included too, such as dropping 100 players onto a map to battle it out.

vCard QR Code

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

“Join your fellow Champions to explore, loot, and survive on a massive map in Paladins: Battlegrounds – the first-ever hero shooter battle royale,” the official teaser reads.

While Paladins Battlegrounds only has a vague 2018 release date, there’s still a big chance it will launch before the PUBG PS4 release date.

Fortnite Battle Royale has already made a big impact on the PlayStation console, which currently doesn’t have access to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.

Chang Han Kim, the CEO of PUBG developer PUBG Corp, recently revealed that he hopes PUBG will one day be available on “every platform”.

However, this will still mean waiting for the game to be finished and ready to go on the Xbox One, something which is still quite far in the future.

Speaking to InvenGlobal, he said: “As it’s going to be an exclusive title on Xbox One for some time, we’d like to focus on completing the Xbox One PUBG for now.

“If we have the opportunity, the final goal would be to launch the title on every platform.”

Kim also discussed whether it was possible to release the early access version of PUBG on PS4.

And his response was telling, explaining how Microsoft were more flexible about what build could be released on their consoles.

Kim said: “Early Access on Steam and Game Preview on Xbox One are like pre-release, so they don’t have a restriction on quality.

“However, PS is very strict about this. There were cases where a game took six months more to launch even when it was already completed.

“We are still in the stage of learning the console development environment and console gamers’ taste.

“We need to think about other platforms after evaluating and completing the Xbox One version first.”
