Liverpool star Coutinho is on Barcelona’s radar with the Catalan giants determined to sign the 25-year-old this month.
Reports claim the Brazil international is desperate to secure a move away from Merseyside and has even gone on strike to ensure he gets his way.
Liverpool’s stance has also supposedly changed with the Reds willing to let their star asset go should a suitable offer come in.
But Spanish website Diario Madridista say that Klopp’s approval is still needed.
It is said the German is still reluctant to let Coutinho jump ship to Barcelona.

But Liverpool know the more Coutinho presses, the more they may have to accept losing him midway through the season.
Meanwhile, former Inter Milan chief Marco Branca expects Coutinho to go.
And he also bragged about signing him for a bargain price from Brazilian youth side Vasco da Gama back in 2008.
“The January tip? Coutinho from Liverpool to Barcelona,” he said.
“Now he will go for a huge amount.
“I remember when I took him to Inter for just €4m.”
Coutinho has been at Liverpool since signing from Inter back in January 2013.
Yet he could move to Barcelona to win silverware, having failed to win a single trophy during his time at Anfield.
