Manchester United think they will sign Juventus star Paulo Dybala for one big reason

Manchester United have reportedly had a bid for Juventus star Dybala turned down, with the Red Devils keen to boost their attacking options.

The Argentina international has hit 15 goals from 25 appearances for the Serie A side this season.

However, a fall-out with Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri means his future in Turin is now shrouded in uncertainty.

And Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo say Manchester United are confident of signing the 23-year-old, who could be the key to turning Romelu Lukaku’s fortunes around.

Lukaku has gone off the boil after a promising start to his Old Trafford career.

The Belgian has scored just four times since October, while misfiring in big games against the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool.

Mundo Deportivo say United are confident of landing Dybala given his current situation at Juventus.

The Argentina hitman’s relationship with Allegri has plummeted and, as a result, a move away from Italy could be in the offing.

That would play into United’s hands with the club willing to break the bank to land their man.

Meanwhile, transfer expert Tancredi Palmeri claims he cannot see Dybala moving this month.

But that is not to stay a deal in the future is unfeasible.

“Manchester United and Dybala had a contact, but nothing is gonna happen,” he wrote on Twitter, when asked about a potential deal.

“Juventus won’t sell at the moment and nevermind for €70m.”

United’s initial offer was said to have included Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

But Juventus are not interested in signing the Armenia international.
