Morrison enjoyed two spells at Crystal Palace, scoring 112 goals in 315 games for the Eagles.
But it could have been so different for the Irishman if the south London club had accepted an offer from Arsenal.
Morrison was discussing the impact Wenger has had on the Premier League, with him equalling Sir Alex Ferguson’s record of 810 matches managed against Palace this evening.
And Morrison has revealed how he is a big fan of the Frenchman because he wanted to sign him in the late 1990’s.
“When he first came to the Premier League he changed everything, scientifically and diets and that,” he said on Sky Sports.

“He has brought a lot to the Premier League and in 2003 when they were the Invincibles that team was unbelievable so he’s brought a lot into the Premier League.
“I know recently a lot of people have a go about how things have worked out at Arsenal, but I think he’s been a terrific manager.
“He’s an even better manager because he tried to sign me once at Crystal Palace.
“When I was 18 he put a bid in for about £2million but Palace turned it down.
“I was a bit devastated at the time because I would have loved to have gone and worked under him because that was when he was brilliant, but he’s a terrific manager.
“I was itching to get there but Palace said ‘no you’ll go for a lot more’ and they were right.”
Morrison joined Birmingham for £4.25million in 2002 before returning to Selhurst Park three years later.
