Remember that Mariah Carey NYE disaster? She’s going to do it AGAIN this New Year

It was the biggest story last New Year’s Eve,

The world’s greatest diva stormed off stage live on air in front of million of Americans (and viewers around the world) during the climax of the main US celebrations in New York’s Times Square.

A war of words erupted between the singer’s camp and the TV producers.

Later Carey tweeted : “Sh** happens… Here’s to making more headlines in 2017.”

It looks like she’s about to do just that.

The singer just anounced on Instagram: “Take 2. #RockinEve #NYE.”

The cryptic message is the confirmation that she will take to the stage once more this year at the same time and place as her mortifying humiliation twelve months ago.

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest airs on December 31 on ABC in the US.

How can they be sure not to repeat last year’s fisaco?

The whole drama last year unfurled during the live show as viewers watched in shock.

Sound problems started immediately with her rendition of Auld Lang Syne when it became evident she could not hear the backup vocals. Appearing to suffer technical problems, the pop diva eventually gave up and stormed off.

Visibly upset, Mariah told the audience: “I’m trying to be a good sport here. We didn’t have a check for this song… we’re missing some of the vocals, but it is what it is. I’m just going to let the audience sing.

“We didn’t have a sound check for this New Year’s baby, it is what it is. Get these monitors on please.”

Carey’s team and Dick Clark Productions later exchanged accusations with the singer’s manager claiming the ABC show sabotaged the performance and “set [her] up to fail.”

Many viewers believed the entire scenario was a publicity stunt to make “headlines” for Carey’s new reality show.

Carey said: “It’s not going to stop me from doing a live event in the future. But it will make me less trusting of using anyone outside of my own team.”

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest airs on December 31 on ABC at 8pm EST.
