Asda sales 2017: When does the Asda sale start?

Bargain hunters will be able to snap up the very first Asda deals as soon as the supermarket’s sale begins online on Christmas Eve.

If you prefer to go out shopping, you will be able to buy sale items in selected stories from Boxing Day. This sale will run until January 14.

Boxing Day is traditionally one of the biggest shopping days of the year but Asda and many other retailers are starting their sales early this year.

An Asda spokeswoman said that their sale will includes discounts across a variety of home and technology lines, with products varying from vacuums, pillows and duvets to TVs, headphones and tablets.

She said: “Sale items will be available both online at from the 24th December and in selected stores from the 26th December.

“With January proving to be a key month for home improvements and stocking up on essentials, Asda will introduce their second sale ‘Stock up £5 and under’ event on the 8th January 2018 to give customers savings on products they want and need.

“The sale will include savings across everyday essentials such as lightbulbs, pans, candles, stationary and car supplies. Customers will be able to stock up on the discounted essentials until the 28th January, online at”

Eve falls on a Sunday this year. Under Sunday working hours, large retailers are only allowed to open for total of six hours between 10am and 6pm on Sundays in England and Wales.

Asda stores across Britain will be closed on Christmas Day itself. Families will have to wait until Boxing Day to pick up supplies with most Asda supermarkets opening between 9am and 6pm on Boxing Day.

New Year’s Eve also falls on a Sunday and Sunday working hours apply.

An Asda spokeswoman said: “As Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve both fall on a Sunday, Asda will open during normal Sunday trading hours which differ by store.

“All stores will close on Christmas Day and then re-open on Boxing Day, with the majority being open from 9am-6pm on Boxing Day and then 10am-6pm on New Year’s Day.”

Opening hours vary depending on individual stores. To check the opening hours of your local store, please use the store locator on the Asda website.
