The twin-engine crashed at the end of the runway at Bartow Municipal Airport near Tampa Bay this morning.
Authoriites say several people have been killed.
Emergency services stormed to the scene at 7.20am (local time).
Investigators are tryng to determine what caused the crash, but the aircraft is said to have been struggling with visibility at the time due to fog, according to local reports.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Department tweeted: “PCSO & @PolkFire on scene of twin-engine plane crash with several deaths near end of runway @ Ben Durrance Rd on Bartow Airbase. Cross street Bomber Rd.
