Star Wars Last Jedi: WORST Rotten Tomatoes audience score of saga – Justice League BETTER

The new movie was met with overwhelmingly positive reviews from the critics earlier this week.

At 93% certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, The Last Jedi is just 1% below The Empire Strikes Back – the best reviewed of the saga.

However in a shock turn of events, while the critics loved it,

The Last Jedi currently holds the worst Rotten Tomatoes audience score of the franchise, with just 56% saying they liked it.

Even more awkwardly, The Last Jedi’s audience score is below that of Justice League, which was slammed in its reviews.

Star Wars Episode VIII seems to have split fans down the middle, with many either calling it the best or worst of the saga.

So what could be the reason for this? Well while JJ Abrams’ The Force Awakens was criticised for being too similar to A New Hope, it satisfied in terms of being loyal and purist to the saga.

Whereas The Last Jedi is a bold step forward into uncharted territory for Star Wars.

It seems that while some fans find this refreshing, others feel the new movie has desecrated the sanctity of the series.
