Nadal is set to kick off his season at the Mubadala invitational tournament in Abu Dhabi alongside Stan Wawrinka and Novak Djokovic.
The Spanish ace is also due to appear at the ATP 250 event in Brisbane before heading to Melbourne for the first Grand Slam of the year, starting in late January.
Andy Murray will also be in Brisbane while Roger Federer is pencilled in to take part in the mixed doubles Hopman Cup in Perth before beginning his title defence.
