School bus in dramatic crash with TRAIN – several seriously injured after horror smash

The bus was traveling between Perpignan and Villefranche-de-Conflent when it collided with the TER train on a railway crossing in the town of Millas, France.

Millas Town Hall has confiremd two people have been killed in the incident and several people have suffered serious injuries in the crash.

The collision occurred on a railway crossing at a place called Los Palaus. The train is believed to have hit the back of the bus.

Fire engines, ambulance crews and the police raced to the scene of the accident, while the air ambulance is also in operation to get the victims as quickly as possible to the nearest hospital in Perpignan, France, about twenty kilometers away.

Rescuers are going through the wreckage to free victims.

The National Gendarmerie told France 3 TV that at least two people were killed and seven were seriously injured.

Trains between Villefranche and Perpignan have been cancelled following the incident.
