Nintendo Switch games LEAK: PS4, Xbox One and Switch getting big new remaster?

Nintendo Switch news this week includes reports that Bandai Namco could be about to announce a very popular new remaster.

According to games writer and editor Marcus Sellars, the publisher is about to reveal several new projects.

And one of these just so happens to be a Dark Souls Remaster for the Nintendo Switch games list.

This new project would also reportedly appear on the PS4 and Xbox One, meaning a good time is coming for all From Software fans.

Currently, only Xbox One fans can download and play Dark Souls, due to the console’s Backwards Compatibility program.

However, like most BC games, Dark Souls doesn’t offer any enhanced gameplay or graphics on the Xbox One, or Xbox One X.

It should be noted that the original Twitter messages confirming this have now been deleted.

And it will be worth taking any rumours with a grain of salt at this point, although earlier reports from 2017 also claimed that discussions were being held over releasing all three games in the Dark Souls saga on the Nintendo Switch. This would also include all Dark Souls DLC.

From Software did recently tease a new project after showing a clip of an upcoming game at The Game Awards.

Fans have been hoping for some kind of news on a sequel to Bloodborne, although nothing has been revealed on the subject.

“First thing I thought of was the Shadows of Yarnham,” one fan commented after seeing the footage shown at the Game Awards.

But while fans were excited to see what could be a new Bloodborne 2 tease, there was also talk of something else too.

“Shadows Die Twice” was a message that also popped up during the short clip, suggesting it could have something to do with an old From Software title.

Shadow Tower was a first-person view role-playing game developed by From Software in 1998.

A sequel, Shadow Tower Abyss, was also released for the PlayStation 2, meaning this could be From Software going for a trilogy on new consoles.

As mentioned above, more could be revealed during PSX, which kicks off tomorrow.

While fans are hoping for some big new announcement from Bandai Namco soon, it appears that more Nintendo Switch games announcements are coming our way in January 2018.

While not confirmed from Nintendo themselves, a new online leak suggests that a Nintendo Direct is being planned.

This comes from an apparent leak stemming from EA, who will be reportedly showing off one of their new titles during it.

This new information should be taken with a grain of salt as it’s hard to determine if the source material is real.

However, if it does prove true, it appears that Nintendo will be showing off new third-party support very soon.

One of those games will be Fe, which will reportedly be released in February 2018, following the Nintendo showcase.

There are also other reports suggesting that Metroid Prime 4 could be another title shown off via a new teaser trailer.

There were hopes that something connected to Metroid Prime would be shown during the Game Awards 2017, although that was eventually dominated by Fortnite Battle Royale, PUBG and the new Zelda Breath of the Wild DLC.
