Haye suffered a “freak” biceps injury just weeks before the scheduled December 17 clash which would have seen the two rivals back in the ring together after their epic battle on March 4.
On that first meeting, Haye also picked up an injury, rupturing his Achilles tendon during the fight before his corner threw the towel in during the 11th round.
Tickets for the highly anticipated rematch, back at the O2 Arena, sold out in minutes last month but around 900 are understood to have been returned due to the change of date.
