Arsenal news: Harry Redknapp sends demand to Arsene Wenger after West Ham draw

That is the view of pundit and former Premier League manager Harry Redknapp.

Wilshere made his first start for Arsenal in the Premier League for 577 days at the London Stadium against the Hammers.

The midfielder could not help his side to victory, with the Gunners failing to make their possession count in the 0-0 draw.

Redknapp believes Wilshere was the one shining light for Arsenal against West Ham and wants to see the England man play on a regular basis in the top flight.

“They just lacked that cutting edge to open West Ham up,” Redknapp told talkSPORT.

“I don’t think they would have got away with that if it had been Man City.

‘You always get the feeling they would have opened them up somewhere and got a goal or two.

“But Arsenal at the moment just don’t seem to have that something special.

“I think the big plus for Arsenal is I think Wilshere looked in good form last night.

“I thought Jack looked sharp, he snapped into some good tackles.

“He won the ball back quickly at times, his passing was good.

“I’d like to see him get a run in the team now and see what he can do again.”
