Avengers Infinity War: Hugh Jackman to be REPLACED by Tom Hardy as Wolverine in MCU?

Tomorrow Disney are expected to announce that they have bought the rights to X-Men from Fox.

While Jackman bowed out as Wolverine earlier this year with Logan, after nine movies as the superhero, he did previously admit he’d consider returning if he could join the Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While fans were excited at the prospect, the actor spoke out this week saying: “Unfortunately, the ship has sailed for me, but for someone else I would like to see Wolverine in there.”

But who could take up the adamantium claws next?

Back in September 2015, Jackman was asked who should replace him after Logan.

The Aussie star replied: “I’m sure they’re already talking about it, that some actor out there they’ve already said, ‘Shhhh… keep it quiet but we want you next.’

“He’s younger than me for sure, I think Tom Hardy would be a great Wolverine.”

Hardy is currently playing Venom in Sony’s MCU Spider-Man spin-off universe. But if Josh Brolin can be both Thanos and Cable, then why not?

The British actor is also the favourite to replace Daniel Craig as James Bond, – the favourite to direct 007 next.

Earlier this year Nolan said: “He’d be amazing. He really would.”

But with the chance to play both Wolverine and Bond, which iconic character would Hardy choose? Why not both?
