PUBG Xbox One release date COUNTDOWN: Launch time, pre-order, load, when servers go online

PUBG is about to make its long-awaited debut on Xbox One, as Battlegrounds finally comes to consoles.

And there’s not long to wait, because PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has a December 12 release date on Xbox One.

Even better news for Battlegrounds fans is that PUBG will be available at 12am UK time, which is when the servers go online.

The bad news, however, is that Xbox Preview games can’t be pre-ordered or pre-loaded ahead of release.

This means you’ll have to start downloading the game at midnight, and then start playing once PUBG is installed.

“We’ve also heard from many of you that you would like to pre-order the game digitally,” reads a Microsoft blog post.

“Games in Xbox Game Preview are not eligible to be pre-ordered at this time, but you can buy and download the game as soon as it becomes available in your market, or pre-order from participating retailers worldwide.”

The  will be available next year on Xbox One.

Microsoft also reminds fans that Xbox Game Preview releases are a work-in-progress.

“As a reminder, Xbox Game Preview is a way for fans to preview and purchase the game while it’s a work-in-progress,” Microsoft continues.

“PUBG Corp are approaching development on Xbox One with the same community-driven focus that they’ve taken with the game on PC and your feedback is key.

“Play the game, give the developers feedback and help make the game the best it can be.”

For a limited time only, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds fans can purchase the Warrior Pack from the Microsoft store, where it’s available for £7.99.

The PUBG Warrior Pack includes a balaclava hat, a camo t-shirt, pants and tennis shoes. These can be used to customise your character.

The PUBG Accessory and PUBG Tracksuit packs will be released on December 14 and December 21, respectively.

“These packs are exclusive to Xbox fans as standalone offers available for a limited time and as there are no plans to feature any in-game purchases in the Xbox Game Preview version, they are the only items that can be purchased during this period,” Microsoft warns.

Battlegrounds has also been given a PC release date.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will leave Early Access and be upgraded to version 1.0 on December 20.

Version 1.0 will introduce climbing and vaulting, which are said to severely change the game.

Players will be better able to escape from danger and potentially sneak up on enemies hidden indoors.
