James Bond 25 ‘DELAYED by Star Wars reshoots’ Still set for 2019 release date?

In two years time the fifth and final outing of Craig’s will have hit cinemas.

Well that’s what 007 fans are hoping, although the latest claim is that pre-production has been delayed somewhat.

An alleged Pinewood source says production begins on Bond 25 in March 2018, having been slightly delayed by Solo: A Story’s reshoots.

While it sounds plausible, its best to take the following tweet with a pinch of salt.

Ringo Mountbatten MBE wrote: “Talked to someone today who works in the film industry and has offices at Pinewood.

“Says #Bond25 team starting work there in March 2018. Production delayed a little by Han Solo Movie reshoots.”

Challenged by one fan on the truthfulness of the claim, the account user added: “I just pass on what I hear. You can take it however you want. We’ll see.

“Personally I can’t see cameras rolling by then. Too early for [a] November 2019 release (unless they bring [the] film forward to avoid Wonder Womanv2). However production teams/set designers do start work many months before.”

A Spanish fan website claims that two sources from the UK and US have confirmed the Dunkirk director is the chosen filmmaker to helm Bond 25.

The outlet said: “On this occasion, two different sources, one from the United States and the other from the United Kingdom…tell us that Nolan will be the director and that he is already working on the film.”

James Bond 25 is set for release in UK cinemas on November 2019.
