With the new year just around the corner, now is the time to get a head start on weight loss and fitness goals.

The king of weight loss released a new workout DVD this year. Filmed with stunning views of Lake Como, Italy, Joe puts users through their paces with three hours of 15 minute workouts.

Designed to work with a Fitbit, this personalised training app gives users access to unlimited adaptive video workouts that evolve based on Fitbit activity – so the fitter you get, the harder the workouts get.

Love Island favourites Chris and Kem shot to fame on the ITV show, and as well as their ‘bromance’ the duo were famed for their perfectly chiselled bodies.

Fans can now attempt to get the look with six workouts and a cool down session led by PT Shona Vertue.

Boxx app, from £7.99 per month

Specialising in boxing, cardio, strength and stretch videos, this app offers workouts focusing on full body fat burning and HIIT. New content is added every month to keep regular users on their toes.

Davina: Toned in 10, £19.99 Amazon.co.uk (Boxing Day release)

Not released until Boxing Day, Davina’s latest workouts are broken down into ten different sections.

The idea is for users to pick and choose what parts of the body they feel like working out each time, and are advised to exercise three times a week.

Healthista Fit HIIT app, £2.99

The app allows users to choose the length of their workouts, and an automated voice explains each move so there is no need to stare at the phone or stop to check form during workouts.

Freeletics app, from £12.99 a month

Containing over 1000 training variations and workouts which have been specifically designed by scientists and athletes, this is the scientific approach to weight loss and fitness.

Workouts for any age or fitness level are provided, with an emphasis on proper techniques to ensure risk of injury is minimised.

Yoga Made Simple, £12.99, Amazon.co.uk

An entry to yoga for those who have never tried it before or who want to boost classes with home workouts. Led by TV sports presenter Alexandra Legouix, the DVD is split into four sections and has ‘improvers’ options throughout.
