The California Thomas fire has spread across 10,000 acres of Ventura county and forced has forced thousands of Americans to evacuate their homes in the foothills north of Los Angeles.
This video caputred by Jonathan Gonzalez shows a mental health facility completely engulfed in flames. All patients have been safely evacuated beforehand, according to the tweet.
One person has reportedly been killed in a traffic accident on a road closed due to the Ventura wildfire and two buildings are also reported destroyed.
The deadly fire continues to sweep across southern California with 60 to 80 mile per hour possible.
The fast-moving blaze has already engulfed 31,000 acres of land, according to Ventura County Fire Department (VCFD) officials, who are battling hard to stop the fire spreading further.

Unfortunately, strong Santa Ana winds have fanned the flames, giving firefighters little hope of containing the inferno.
The warning, which initially came into effect on Sunday, stretches from Santa Maria all the way down to San Diego.
More than 7,700 people have been ordered to evacuate their homes in Ventura County, which lies about 70 miles northeast of Los Angeles.
More than 260,000 people have been left without power in southern California as the Thomas wildfire tears through Ventura County.
Earlier this morning Mark Lorenzen, chief of VCFD told reporters: ”We anticipate that the fire is going to impact the eastern end of the city of Ventura within the hour.
“The prospects for containment are not good. Really Mother Nature is going to decide whether we have the ability to put it out because it is pushing hard.”
Officials on Twitter said: “Waiting for winds to slow down so we can get back in the fight.”
Ventura County firefighter Jason Hodge said: “We’re really just trying to catch it around the edges and just pinch it off as quickly as possible.
“It’s always difficult and somewhat dangerous to fly at night, so depending on different conditions and the geographic challenges is how they evaluate whether or not they can operate at night.”
The latest wildfire comes just less than two months after 13 people were killed by infernos in California’s wine region.
