PUBG update – Battlegrounds on Xbox One X will have one BIG advantage

PUBG is coming to consoles soon, with the Battlegrounds release date for Xbox One and Xbox One X fast approaching.

PUBG will be available to play on Xbox One and Xbox One X on December 12 through the Xbox Game Preview programme.

And ahead of it PlayerUnknown himself – Brendan Greene – has given a big update on how Battlegrounds will run on consoles.

Greene revealed that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will run at 60FPS on Xbox One X, but 30FPS on the regular Xbox One.

Speaking to gamesTM (via MSpoweruser), he said: “Xbox is synonymous with gaming, you know what I mean?

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

“And there’s a huge player base out there that prefer to play on console, so bringing it to the Xbox One systems is just great.

“It’s like I can finally say yup, I have a game on Xbox. So I think we could see incredible numbers on console, but again, I don’t want to jinx it.

“We’re more focused on getting a good game out.

“Like, as much as it sounds a bit s*****, we’re not focused on player numbers.

“Sure, from a server point of view we have to be, but that’s what our goal here is.

“It’s not to have millions of players, our goal is to put a good game onto both platforms.”

The news comes after PS4 fans hoping that PUBG would be coming to their platform next are dealt a blow.

PUBG is heading to Xbox One this month, and Microsoft have reportedly been in talks to extend the period of console exclusivity with developer Bluehole.

It means that this year the PC and the Xbox One is the only place to play Battlegrounds – but that could all change very soon.

It’s been reported that PUBG will be coming out soon on another platform, but it’s not the news PS4 fans will be wanting to hear.

Chinese gaming giant Tencent are working on a port of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – but for mobile devices.

An article Kotaku UK spotted in the Chinese press shows the mobile version is intended to have all of the PC’s features and play in the same way.

It’s hoped players jumping between PC and mobile versions will have a consistent gameplay experience on the two platforms.

The mobile version of PUBG is planned for release in mainland China, and there is no word if it will get a worldwide launch.

The news may come as a bitter pill for PS4 fans, who were surely hoping Battlegrounds was heading to their system next.

A trailer or the mobile version of PUBG has also been revealed, giving a cinematic take on what a PUBG match could look like.

It shows content that isn’t in the PC game yet, including miniguns, helicopters and even a battleship.
