Star Wars 8 END CREDIT scene promised at Last Jedi preview screenings?

Is this the Disney influence crossing over from one of their major franchises to another?

Marvel famously like to keep bums on seats until the bitter end, stringing fans along with a succession of teaser mid and end credits scenes.

The Justice League movie recently showed that DC is starting to get on the same band wagon and now it sounds like the Star Wars saga is joining in, too.

A new report from the US tells ticket holders for the opening night previews to “stay to the end for a special surprise exclusive for screening attendees.”

Star Wars Youtube channel Mike Zeroh says he has been sent the following information from one ticket holder.

vCard QR Code

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

He reports: “The opening night fan event will be treated to exclusive content at the end of the movie and it will be footage.

“Could this be the trailer to Solo: A Star wars Story since we learned it was completed a couple of months ago? Or could it be an end credits scene that gives a clue to what will come in Episode 9?”

Zeroh references a fan question board for one cinema where the ticket holder asked if they would offer anything special for the opening night preview screenings.

The reply listed the complimentary refreshments, which included a BB8 popcorn combo and BB8 tub and goody bag. Then it added: “We don’t want to spoil it for you but stay to the end for a special surprise exclusive for screening attendees.”

If it is indeed an end credits scene, it will be the first ever for the Star Wars franchise.

The movies usually like to end of a cliff-hanger and the cue the iconic music, like the old serialised Flash Gordon TV dramas they are based on.

Although the idea of seeing a teaser of what Rey and Kylo Ren, or Luke and Snoke might do next is tantalising, would Disney and Lucasfilm really tamper with such a classic format?

If anything is shown, it is much more likely to be the Solo: A Star Wars Story trailer. That movie is due next Spring and a trailer is way overdue.

STAR WARS THE LAST JEDI IS OUT ON DECEMBER 14
