Championship news LIVE: Leeds vs Aston Villa build up, Sunderland eye Robson, Fulham talks

Championship news LIVE – Leeds vs Aston Villa build up and more

1.00pm: Fulham have resumed talks over a contract extension for Ryan Fredericks.

The 25-year-old right-back’s current deal expires at the end of the current campaign.

According to Sky Sports, Fulham are eager to tie him down to fresh terms.

Fredericks has made 84 appearances for the Whites since his move from Bristol City in 2015.

12.30pm: Sunderland have entered the race for Dundee United left-back Jamie Robson.

According to The Scottish Sun, the Black Cats have been keeping tabs on the 19-year-old’s development.

Chris Coleman is hoping to strengthen the left-side of his defence in January.

Robson saw a move to Southampton collapse on deadline day in August.

12.00pm: Aston Villa midfielder Mile Jedinak has been ruled out of tomorrow’s game at Leeds United.

Jedinak suffered a shoulder injury in last Saturday’s win against Ipswich Town.

“Mile is seeing a specialist, but the advice is to rest,” Steve Bruce said.

“He has to see if it starts to heal itself, if it doesn’t the operation will take probably ten weeks.

“We hope that resting it in a sling will be all that is needed and we can get him back in January.”
