Avengers Infinity War: The order Thanos obtains the Infinity Stones REVEALED

WARNING SPOILERS FOR AVENGERS INFINITY WAR AND THOR RAGNAROK AHEAD

The main focus of Avengers Infinity War’s plot will see Thanos setting off on a mission to obtain all six Infinity Stones for his Infinity Gauntlet.

The new trailer saw him arriving on Earth and adding the blue Space Stone to the metallic glove, which already has the purple Power Stone secured.

Marvel fans suspected that Loki took the Tesseract (Space Stone) from Odin’s vault on Asgard at the conclusion of Thor Ragnarok – and they were right.

A shot in the new trailer showed Thor’s brother nears dead bodies (of Asgardians?) with the blue object in his hand outstretched – presumably being offered willing to Thanos in submission.

So that ties in with Thanos adding the Space Stone to his Infinity Gauntlet, but it also proves that the he obtained the Power Stone first.

Also known as the Orb, the purple Infinity Stone has been held by the Nova Corps on Xander since the conclusion of the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

This surely means that Thanos will kick off his mission by attacking the Nova Corps. But before heading to Earth the next stop is The Collector’s Museum to obtain the Aether, a red gem that is the Reality Stone.

We know this is what happens due to last week showing Thanos torturing The Collector on Knowhere, demanding he reveal the whereabouts of the Stone – as the Guardians of the Galaxy listen in from the side.

However The Collector claims he sold it, something which is a big fat lie since we know from Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor: The Dark World that he knows exactly what the Infinity Stones are and he wants them all.

Yet it looks like Thanos is unsuccessful in this acquisition, which is why he only has the Space Stone and Power Stone when arriving on Earth.

Landing in New York City, it looks like it’ll be the Time Stone next – which is hanging around Doctor Strange’s neck as the Eye of Agamotto. The Sorcerer Supreme will be working with Wong, Iron Man and a freshly returned Bruce Banner as The Illuminati, to protect the green gem.

Other shots in the trailer showed Loki’s sceptre being used to remove the Mind Stone, a yellow gem, from Vision’s forehead.

More leaked footage from the other week showed Thanos’ daughter Proxima Midnight attacking Team Cap in Edinburgh, while Vision is hiding in a cage.

Presumably after this is when the Mind Stone will be removed, which may result in Vision’s death – although he’s somehow human in the trailer.

All the action then focuses on Wakanda, where Team Cap, plus the Hulk – who seems to have travelled from New York – join Black Panther to defend Wakanda from Thanos’ army.

It seems beyond doubt now that the Soul Stone is somewhere in the African nation.

Assuming Thanos is successful in obtaining all five, perhaps the Avengers 4 will see the superheroes going all out to prevent him from finding the red Reality Stone and completing the Infinity Gauntlet with all six?

Avengers Infinity War will be released in UK cinemas on April 27, 2018, while Avengers 4 will follow on April 26, 2019.
