NBA 2K18 UPDATE: Xbox One patch notes live, PS4 and Nintendo Switch news

The latest NBA 2K18 update has been launched by the development team on Xbox One.

This new patch is not yet out on PS4, Nintendo Switch or PC, although the 2K Sports team have confirmed it won’t be long before it launches on all platforms.

No set time or date has been given for the full rollout of update 1.06, although the official NBA 2K18 patch notes have been provided.

These confirm that Trivia is being re-enabled in the 2K Zone in MyCAREER, although, only once all consoles have received this update.

If you have not yet tried it out, 2K Zone Trivia provides 25 VC for every question you answer correctly.

The other changes are mostly bug fixes, which will hopefully help fans avoid issues connected to shoe designs and MyCareer gameplay.

NBA 2K18 update for Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch:

Users will no longer experience a hang when attempting to read texts from Bryan in MyCAREER.

Fixed an issue where Bryan would stop sending users texts to pick up their endorsement VC cheques in MyCAREER.

Addressed a hang that could occur in the Gatorade Training Facility right before starting an activity.

Addressed a case where some users were seeing their custom created shoes appearing differently in-game than how they looked in the editor.

The camera will no longer focus on the crowd when play resumes when called right before a free throw in Pro-Am and Play Now Online games.

Fixed a case where the playoffs would fail to advance after completing a round during an offline MyCAREER.

Squads will now remain intact when choosing to Play Game after completing a Ruffles Tournament game.

Michael Jordan’s tongue should now look a little more Mike-like.

The wording from the NBA 2K18 development team suggests that these will be the same changes and tweaks launched on all other platforms.

It was recently revealed that NBA 2K18 had sold more than 6 million copies at retail, while the game itself also saw a large rise in microtransaction and DLC spending.

This has apparently jumped 57% year-over-year for the NBA 2K series, with the game itself also selling in a higher quantity.

“To date, total users and average daily users of NBA 2K18 on current generation platforms is up nearly 30 percent over last year’s release,” reads the quarterly report from Take-Two Interactive.

“We believe that NBA 2K18 will become our most successful sports title ever, both in terms of units sold and recurrent consumer spending.”
