Grammy Awards 2018 nominations list – see them here first TODAY

Check back here for the full list when all 84 categories’ shortlists are unveiled.

The Grammy Awards announcement will be made at 1:30pm in the UK – or 8:30am eastern time and 5:30am pacific time.

Singer/songwriter Andra Day will kick things off by announcing the big four categories: Best New Artist, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year.

Hot contenders include Ed Sheeran, Kendrick Lamar and SZA, all of whom are expected to fare well.

It’s notable that awards juggernaught Taylor Swift will not be eligible with her recent album Reputation, as it was released too late for consideration. It could feature prominently next year.

Drake’s More Life will also be absent, as he did not submit it.

The Grammys themselves are slated for January 28, 2018; in the midst of the US awards season.

James Corden hosted the 2017 event, which made Adele the first artist in history to win all three general field awards in the same ceremony twice.

She won five trophies overall on the night, but notably claimed Album of the Year should have been given to Beyonce instead.

Next year’s Grammys will be the 60th in its history.
