WARNING SPOILERS FOR AVENGERS INFINITY WAR AHEAD
Early footage for Marvel’s 2018 extravaganza has leaked online and boy is it exciting.
There’s two Avengers Infinity War scenes. The first is without sound and features the live action scenes of some stills with Nomad and Thanos’ daughter Proxima Midnight on Earth that leaked a couple of weeks ago – click here for that description.
Meanwhile the second clip features dialogue and is set at The Collector’s Museum on Knowhere.
His building is partly damaged by fire and sees the Guardians of the Galaxy sneaking about, while listening into Thanos who is torturing Taneleer Tivan (The Collector) for information on the whereabouts of the Reality Stone.
Also known as the Aether, the Reality Stone was handed to the Collector in the post-credits scene of Thor: The Dark World by the Asgardians, because Odin didn’t want two Infinity Stones in his vault – click here for more information.
Below is a description with dialogue of the Avengers Infinity War scene, which is an early cut since the Thanos shots are blank and his foot is shown as Josh Brolin’s mo-cap suited foot:
The Guardians enter The Collector’s Museum with Star-Lord leading the way, before he stops and they go on ahead of him despite his signal.
Star Lord: “The hand means stop.”
Thanos to the Collector: “The Reality stone. now.”
We hear sounds of torture as The Collector struggles to breathe.
The Collector: “I told you, I sold it. Why would I lie?”
Thanos: “I imagine it’s like breathing for you.”
The Collector: “Like suicide.”
Thanos: “So you do understand. Not even you would surrender something so precious.”
The Collector: “I didn’t know what it was.”
Thanos: “Then you’re more of a fool than I took you for.”
Drax to the Guardians watching on from hiding: “It’s him.”
Thanos to The Collector: “Last chance charlatan. Where’s the stone?”
Drax to the Guardians: “Today, he pays for the deaths of my wife and daughter.”
Star-Lord: “Wait, wait, wait. Drax, wait!” Drax withdraws his knife.
Star-Lord: “Woah, woah, woah, not yet! Not yet! Drax!”
Gamora: “Drax!” Drax enters the main room with Thanos and The Collector as the Guardians follow.
So where is the Reality Stone? Clearly The Collector’s lying as he explained to the Guardians in their first solo movie exactly what the Infinity Stones are.
Also when he was handed the Aether in Thor: The Dark World’s end credit scene, he said: “Two down, four to go.”
He’s been wanting to gather all six just like Thanos, however he lost the Power Stone (the Orb) in Guardians of the Galaxy, which is now being held by the Nova Corps on Xander.
Avengers Infinity War will be released in UK cinemas on April 27, 2018 and will be followed by Avengers 4 on April 2019.
