Liverpool vs Chelsea LIVE: Express Sport brings you the latest scores, news and updates from Anfield

69: Jurgen Klopp made a quick change during the celebrations as Wijnaldum comes on to replace Sturridge. Looks like Coutinho will drift to the left and Salah has moved up top.

67: Mohamed Salah has scored 10 goals in his first 13 Premier League appearances for Liverpool, the joint-most by any Liverpool player in their first 13 apps in the competition (level with Daniel Sturridge).

LIVERPOOL 1-0 CHELSEA – SALAH

65: Deadlock broken, and of course it had to be Mohamed Salah against his old club.

Philippe Coutinho pokes it to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who prods it through to Salah to calmly slot beyond Thibaut Courtois.

Not quite sure why Salah chose not to celebrate against the club he barely represented, but there you go.

66: Block! Daniel Sturridge makes himself a couple of yards for an angled shot but Azpilicueta makes a brilliant sliding tackle. Momentum has swung in Liverpool’s favour over the last 10 minutes.

63: Heart-in-mouth moment for Liverpool. Hazard releases Azpilicueta, whose cross from the right flank flies across  the six-yard box but nobody could get the vital touch. Impossible to pick a winner from here.

60: Cesc Fabregas, Willian and Toni Rudiger are currently warming up for the Blues. I doubt it’ll be too much longer before we see them introduced.

Daniel Sturridge wants a penalty after seeing his shot ricochet off Cahill’s arm, but I don’t really see how the centre-back could get out of the way.

57: Henderson fizzes one but it’s straight at Courtois. Hazard hasn’t been involved much, and looks to be carrying a knock after a collision with Salah. I’ll keep you updated with that. You lucky folks.

54: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Mohamed Salah have swapped flanks. It must be for aesthetic purposes because it’s made no difference since the break.

Bakayoko brings down Coutinho and it’s a Liverpool free-kick. Coutinho ambitiously goes for goal and wins the corner. Cleared.

51: Hazard goes down in the box following what looked like a trip by Milner but the ref saw no fault with the challenge. Surprisingly.

Up the other end, Thibaut Courtois almost makes an enormous handling error when hooking Sturridge’s effort for a corner.

48: Chelsea have started the brighter of the two sides. Kante strides forward and wins a corner, but it’s quickly cleared.

LIVERPOOL 0-0 CHELSEA

45: We’re back underway folks. No changes at the break but it wouldn’t surprise me if we saw a few soon.

TWITTER ROUND-UP

Nizaar: Hazard produced a masterclass today. Truly sensational. Drinkwater’s inclusion has been a smart one. Chelsea have done very well today but they need the win.

Thomas: Cagey and rather dull first half. Not much intent, hoping Liverpool can up the game second half. Some interesting options on the bench if necessary.

Saad: Bring on Fabregas. Take off Baka. Drinkwater has been making some good runs. With Fabregas’s passing, could provide a breakthrough.

HT: All-Square at the break here at Anfield. Lots of “nearly moments” but the quality is lacking in the final third. All to play for.

45: Penalty shout! Eden Hazard is lucky to get away with that. He clearly shoves Coutinho in the back inside the penalty area but Michael Oliver isn’t interested. Not sure about that myself.

43: Joel Matip deflects Zappacosta’s strike wide and Simon Mignolet confidently strides off his line to collect. Remember when I was speaking about substitutes? Yep, they’ll be the difference today.

40: Zappacosta squares the ball across the box but Klavan clears for a corner, which comes to nothing.

Salah motors up the other end, spins Gary Cahill and sends a curling effort narrowly wide.

38: Referee just fell over. Everyone laughed. “Are you Gerrard in disguise?” sing the Chelsea fans. Nothing brings more joy than the ref falling on his arse.

36: Another full-blooded challenge from Danny Drinkwater goes unpunished. Referee Michael Oliver is certainly trying to let the game flow. Either that or he’s forgotten his cards.

34: Danger! Matip throws Morata too the floor but manages to escape a booking. Marcos Alonso lines it up… inches wide! Good effort from the full-back.

31: Salah wriggles his way into having a sight of goal in the box but his side-footed effort is blocked. No shortage of action here folks, just need a goal!

28: Sunday League at the back from Liverpool, and they’re absurdly lucky not to concede from a corner. Matip, Klavan and Moreno all fail to clear but somehow Chelsea fail to turn it home.

25: Liverpool living dangerous, very dangerously. Danny Drinkwater of all people collects a return pass from Hazard but Hazard just manages to make the block.

Seconds later Zappacosta stings the keepers palms with a rocket from an acute angle.

24: Save! It’s the first real sign of Chelsea pressure and almost results in the opener. Eden Hazard cuts inside and forces Mignolet into a save low down to his right.

Simon Mignolet gets nowhere near the resulting corner but the Reds scramble it clear.

21: Firmino, Mane, Lallana vs Fabregas, Pedro, Willian. Could the substitutes decide this match when they’re inevitably thrown into the mix?

19: I wish someone loved me the way Glenn Hoddle loves Joe Gomez. The BT Sport pundit praises the defender for about three minutes before lamenting the fact he’s not being played at centre-back. Sorry, Glenn.

Important clearance by Azpilicueta as Gomez, who had got away down the right, attempted to pick out Sturridge in the box.

16: The Ox, who will be desperately hoping to seize his chance in the first-team, blazes forward before squaring it to James Milner, who slices it miles wide.

13: Well we’ve got our pattern. Chelsea are happy to absorb Liverpool pressure and hit them on the counter. Vintage stuff you could say…

10: The home side are seeing more of the ball during these opening stages, Hazard brings it out and beats three players before a deflection takes it away from him.

8: End-to-end stuff here at Anfield. Lots of fringe players wanting to make an impression – so there’s plenty of gusto but short on quality in the final third.

6: Now they’ve got something to shout about. Eden Hazard drops deep to collect the ball, shrugs off Coutinho and finds Zappacosta, who wins a corner.

The Belgian is involved again when drilling an awkward volley across the six-yard box, but nobody is there to apply the finish.

3: Chelsea supporters are making all the noise inside Anfield in the early stages. Nothing much for them to shout about yet as Salah sees a speculative effort blocked by Christensen.

1: YNWA has been sung at an epic decibel level, and that can only mean one thing – we’re underway!

STEVEN GERRARD

17:29: “I think after the travelling midweek he’s probably trying to bring fresh legs in,” Gerrard said on BT Sport.

“I think also putting Milner and Oxlade-Chamberlain in he’s probably looking for players that will do the dirty work going back the other way and try and stiffen Liverpool up a bit.

“If you play Mane, Salah, Sturridge it can be too attacking. I think he has shown Chelsea some respect with those changes.”

TUNNEL VISION

17:27: We’re almost underway folks. Frank Lampard and Rio Ferdinand are sitting on the fence and think tonight’s clash will end 2-2. I’m plumping for a Chelsea win as the sides emerge from the tunnel.

SALAH: THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY

17:25: Kevin de Bruyne has already reminded Chelsea this season of what they might have had orchestrating their midfield and there could be another Stamford Bridge cast-off about to prove a point this weekend.

Mohamed Salah, sold to Roma in 2016, has proven a sensational signing by Liverpool, with 14 goals in 20 games heading into tonight’s clash at Anfield.

Chelsea can ill-afford to let their nine-point gap behind Manchester City grow further while Liverpool will be looking for a pick-up after their midweek collapse against Sevilla. Salah is likely to be key.

EVENING

17:10: Welcome to our LIVE coverage of Liverpool vs Chelsea from Anfield.

Sorry I’m late to the party, I’ve jumped over from the afternoon Premier League fixtures and I’m totally disorientated.

But I’ll manfully continue for the blogging award I’ll inevitably never win.

Anyway, we’ve got 20 minutes until this epic showdown gets underway. Let’s get going!

Alvaro Morata and Andreas Christensen are expected to return in place of Willian and David Luiz as boss Antonio Conte rotates his options, with striker Michy Batshuayi (ankle), forward Charly Musonda (knee) and the left-sided Kenedy (undisclosed) out.
