Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea: Jurgen Klopp rages at officials over Blues equaliser

Klopp’s Liverpool side took the lead through Mohamed Salah’s tenth goal of the Premier League season.

But the home side were pegged back late on when a chipped effort by Willian beat Simon Mignolet.

However after the match, Klopp was unhappy with the officials over not being allowed to bring on Adam Lallana in the moments leading up to Willian’s goal.

Klopp said: “I was angry because we wanted to change the system and we couldn’t because of the referee. The referee didn’t give us this opportunity.

“We wanted to change to 5 at the back and I think that could have helped a lot. That’s where Willian popped up with the goal.”

“I’ve seen a lot of Salah and I speak a lot about him after games.

“He can play in this type of game. I thought it was a really good team performance tonight.”
