Which women do you consider beautiful?

My mum Anne is still beautiful in her early sixties. I think you get the face you deserve in the end, and she’s just goodness.

What’s your signature fragrance?

Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir is the only perfume I wear that anyone comments on. It’s fruity and musky, not flowery or heavy.

How do you pamper yourself?

I do like going to the hairdresser. They really pamper me.

What exercise do you do?

I’ve never had a personal trainer before, but they got us one for Strike Back who made us lift weights. Working out has made me much stronger.

What are your favourite designer labels?

Alexander McQueen and Stella McCartney, but for the red carpet I have a friend, James Steward, who does all my frocks. He knows what I like.

What’s the most you’ve ever spent on an item of clothing?

I bought a Mulberry bag five years ago and I’m still using it. Being a Yorkshire girl, I calculate value for money and I’ve used it so much it’s paid for itself.

What’s your favourite boutique or shop?

Hush. I love their stuff and have to try hard not to buy the entire season. They do good-quality clothes that are not overpriced.

Strike Back is on Tuesdays at 9pm on Sky One.
