Melissa Gilbert: ‘Oliver Stone made me do ‘DIRTY sex scene’ for HUMILIATING audition

The actress claimed that the powerful director “humiliated” her on purpose.

Gilbert is still most famous as little Laura Elizabeth Ingalls Wildersaid on Little House on the Prairie but reported a sordid scene a million miles away from that wholesome show.

She said she was left “in tears” after being forced to perform simulated graphic sexual acts in a scene created purely to enact a terrible form of revenge for a previous slight.

The audition was for the outrageous 1991 movie biopic The Doors starring Val Kilmer and involved “Gilbert crawling around on her hands and knees begging Kilmer’s character for sex, saying ‘Do me, baby.'”

Gilbert appeared on Andy Cohen’s radio show Radio Andy and made her sensational accusations as Hollywood continues to be rocked with numerous allegations of sexual misconduct and abuse following the accusations made against Harvey Weinstein.

She said: ““I never really talked about it — and it was all because I had said something and embarrassed him publicly. He (Stone) wrote this special scene that he wanted me to do for him physically in the casting room, and it was humiliating and horrid.”

Apparently the director felt Gilbert had previously embarrassed him in a nightclub and used the opportunity for revenge. She added: “He got me back and it hurt.”

The scene described did not appear in the final cut, when Meg Ryan played the part of Doors frontman Jim Morrison’s girlfriend, Pamela Courson.

This appears to lend credence to Gilbert’s claims that the moment was engineered purely to punish and hurt her.

However, a version of the original script available online does contain the scene. This backs Stone’s rebuttal that no such scene was written purely for Gilbert’s audition.

In an official statement Oliver Stone replied to the accusation: “We auditioned dozens of actors for roles in The Doors and it was made clear from the outset that our film was going to be a raunchy, no-holds-barred rock ‘n’ roll movie.

“Anyone auditioning was told the scenes would be rehearsed and performed from a script, with my casting director, Risa Bramon Garcia, present throughout the process to ensure a safe environment for all actors who auditioned.”
