Alonso, talking at a Michael Kors event, revealed his race-day routine involves waking up at around 8.30am.
He then has a light breakfast such as fruit and cereal before heading to the circuit for back-to-back strategy meetings.
Here they talk cars and optimisation of what to do on the track before taking an early lunch at 11am.

Away from F1, Alonso has competed in the Indy Car Series and wants to win the Indianapolis 500 and Le Mans to secure the Triple Crown, having already won the Monaco Grand Prix.
But he is far different away from the circuit.
He prefers to bike than drive but when he is on normal roads he said: “Those days don’t come often, so when they do I take them slow!”
Alonso took to the stage at the event wearing a black blazer with a white plain t-shirt, claiming he doesn’t have enough time to worry about his style and looks.
And it’s that, he says, that is the reason behind him wearing a hat.
Alonso said: “Being stylish isn’t very important, I mean my hair is crazy but my F1 hat covers that. All I care about is about the race, but if I was given more time, I would love to spend time doing my hair and trimming my beard.”
