Vieira, 19, received his marching orders on the hour mark with the scores at 2-1 after a clumsy foul earned him a second yellow card.
Writing on Twitter, he said: “Just want to apologise to the fans and my team mates for my red card tonight, I made the wrong decision at a crucial time in the game.
“We will come back stronger as a team and I will make up for my mistake when I get back on the pitch.”
