WATCH: Savage riots on Brussels streets as police flee ANGRY YOUTHS – SHOCK video

Video shows hordes of black-clad rioters launching projectiles at police as they march down the road towards the law enforcement’s vehicle.

Other footage appears to show youths jumping on a passersby’s car as shocked onlookers shelter in shops to avoid the carnage.

Local news site RTL said: “Crowd movement in the Place de la Monnaie in Brussels, traffic had to stop because people were running through, at least 200 to 300 people seemed to want to run away from each other. Police sirens have been heard continuously since.”

The rowdy crowd formed in Place de La Monnaie in Brussels after popular YouTube personality called for fans to meet in the area.

Local police spokesman Olivier Slosse said a police squad tried to approach rapper ‘Vargass 92’, however, the assembled crowd began to turn on officers and throwing rocks.

Police were seen moving away from the area as the crowds seemed to outnumber them.

The rapper used Snapchat to please with fans to stay calm, but the angry mob carried on regardless. 

Local media claims there has been multiple arrests, while witnesses were fearful of a “terror attack” on the city.

Twitter user shane wrote that “many tourists thought there had been a terrorist attack”.

Local police have asked for Federal police to step in, amid reports the young rioters are using rocks and knives to attack officers.
