PSN Down: PS4 gamers reporting outage affecting Call of Duty WW2 servers

PS4 owners are reporting issues signing in on the PS4 tonight, as well as accessing Call of Duty WW2 servers.

Nothing has been posted to the official PlayStation Network status site, so it’s unclear if this is only specific to certain games.

There have also been reports of maintenance error messages popping up tonight.

“PS4 won’t let me sign into PlayStation network, keep getting message saying this feature is currently unavailable Ce-41489-6 and then I get this error code,” one user commented.

Activision have confirmed that there are current Call of Duty WW2 server issues affecting the game tonight, but only on PS4.

Activision has also confirmed that the error currently hitting servers is the 103295 code.

Call of Duty WW2 fans endured a frustrating opening weekend, as connection issues took multiplayer down and prevented many from playing online.

Sledgehammer issued a number of fixes over the weekend, culminating in an update that appeared to have solved some of the worst server problems.

The Call of Duty WW2 developer claims the problem was caused by the extremely high number of players attempting to login over the weekend.

“At launch, we experienced an extremely high volume of players connecting to our servers in a very short window,” Sledgehammer explained. “This resulted in players experiencing mixed online connectivity across all platforms.

“In response, we pushed a change enabling higher capacity load balancers, resulting in improved live connectivity.”

Reports of server problems have decreased since Sunday afternoon, although it could be the case that high numbers of players could be causing issues again.
