BREAKING: Bomb explodes outside city centre bar

The explosion occurred at around 3.25am in via Enrico Pessina in the ground floor of the Le Shabby Cafe.

The cafe suffered extensive damage as well a car that was parked nearby.

The ground floor bar suffered extensive damage with the doors and windows completely blown out and windows in neighbouring buildings were also smashed.

Police and firefighters attended the scene along with forensic experts.

The bar is owned by two brothers who said they had never received any threats or attempts at extortion.

According to the police report, the outbreak occurred at 3.25am in front of the Le Shabby Cafe.
