The actress appeared on Chris Evans’s Radio 2 show this morning and spoke about how the fan-favourite could keep on returning for more adventures with Marvel – although unsurprisingly she refrained from commenting on the new movie specifically.
“I started off as one film in Captain America: The First Avenger, seven years ago,” she said.
“So what happened is I keep getting a call saying, ‘can we put you in another film?’”
She added: “What we’ve discovered is she lives to about the age of 96, she had a funeral in Captain America: Civil War.
“And also my series in the States, Agent Carter, the TV show, is back in the 1940s.

“So essentially I could be employed for the rest of my life in Marvel, since I live to 96.
“Can I put Peggy in the 80s? I think some power dressing could be great.”
But on new films in particular, she added: “I have no news to report – they might not want to see me again!”
So long story short, she has confirmed that Peggy could return – but not that she does in Avengers Infinity War or follow-up Avengers 4.
The first of the two movies is believed to have wrapped its main shooting, and is now in reshoots ahead of its release next spring.
Avengers 4 will follow in 2019.
