Black Friday 2017: iPhone 8 – Can you get an offer in the UK on Black Friday?

As the UK braces for , retailers are beginning to announce the deals they will be offering on what has become one of the busiest shopping days of the year.

Apple tends not to take part in the Black Friday sales bonanza, though last year the tech giant did give free gift cards worth up to £120 with the purchase of certain products. It is not yet known whether the same will be offered in 2017.

Other retailers that stock Apple products are expected to offer discounts on iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks.

Argos already has a deal in place that gives 10 per cent off the 10.5 inch iPad Pro, while Currys is offering up to £200 off the MacBook Pro with Touch Bar.

Those hoping to nab a discounted iPhone 8 in the sales can expect the deals to start pouring in as we edge closer to Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Last year, British bargain-hunters could get an iPhone 7 with 32GB of storage for £100 on a £31.50 per month contract – a saving of £100.

fans should look out for sales at the following stores for the best chance of picking up a deal: Mobiles.co.uk, Argos, Currys, PC World and the Carphone Warehouse.

Amazon UK has announced they will be offering huge discounts in the week running up to Black Friday, so keep an eye on their daily sales.

The online retailer revealed its Black Friday Deals Store will be open from midnight on Friday November 17 with the sale continuing until 11.59pm on Sunday November 26.

A Cyber Monday sale is expected to follow on November 27.

Originating in the USA, the shopping bonanza always falls on the first Friday after Thanksgiving. Black Friday will be on November 24 this year.

Black Friday has gained notoriety in the UK and America for sending some shoppers into a buying frenzy.

Every year people queue for hours to be the first through the shop door and brawls are a regular occurrence as bargain-hunters fight over the most sought-after deals.
