Man Utd news: Why Jose Mourinho has to change things to help Romelu Lukaku – Wright

Those are the thoughts of BBC Sport pundit Ian Wright.

United on Sunday, which saw Lukaku fire yet another blank – the seventh game in a row he’s failed to hit the target.

Jose Mourinho’s men failed to show much attacking threat in the second half, a common theme that has occurred when United have faced teams in and around the top six this season.

Alvaro Morata’s header for the Blues proved to be the difference between the two sides.

And Wright has attempted to explain why things aren’t clicking for Lukaku at the moment.

“You look at two things when you’re not scoring,” Wright told Match of the Day 2.

“Am I getting the service and am I making the right moves and I think it’s a culmination of both.

“When you look at his touch map there was no touches in the box.

“We’re talking about someone who is well capable of scoring like we saw earlier in the season but he seems to be making the wrong moves for me now and the chances aren’t coming.

“I’m not sure how he’s going to score goals if they’re going to carry on playing like this.”
