‘North Korea is totally out of control!’ Relive Trump’s STARK WARNING nearly 20 years ago

has continuously threatened to unload its nuclear weapons on Donald Trump and the US since he became President in January 2017, sparking global fears of the outbreak of .

The rogue state’s despot leader over previous months has engaged in a battle of fiery rhetoric with Mr Trump, including threats from each side to launch deadly military strikes.

However, Mr Trump’s belief North Korea must be dealt with is not a recent one, vocalising his opinion as early as 1999.

In an unearthed clip, the President-in-waiting, who then was beginning his first attempt to the top job in the White House in the 2000 presidential election, branded North Korea as “totally out of control”.

Mr Trump said: “North Korea is totally out of control, and would you rather have a very, very serious chat with them now and if necessary you might have to do something fairly drastic.

“Or would you rather have to go after them in five years when they have more nuclear warheads and missiles than we do?”

And, seemingly, the now US President was not wrong with his predictions. North Korea is rattling on with its nuclear missile programme and the world is poised and preparing for a possible breakout of World War 3.

US sources warned the rogue nation could be within two months of processing a nuclear missile capable of reaching the United States mainland.

North Korea is working on an advanced version of its KN-20 intercontinental ballistic missile and it is said the weapon could be ready to fire within six months of its first test in April, according to CNN.

A North Korea war is “closer” than ever before, warns Dr Lassina Zerbo, executive secretary for the Comprehensive Nuclear-test-ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO).

He told Sky News “nobody knows what is happening” as Kim Jong-un continues the rogue state’s missile programme.

Dr Zerbo said: “I think the risk is bigger than when I joined the organisation 13 years ago.

“We are closer to a nuclear war, but my hope relies on the power of multilateral diplomacy.”
