Gibson posted the picture above alongside his latest angry rant.
The picture alone makes Johnson look slightly deranged while Gibson and their co-star Vin Diesel engage in some buddy bromance.
In case anyone missed the not very subtle imagery, the actor also made it very clear as he spelled out just how deep the divide now runs.
Gibson, who plays Roman Pearce, is now threatening to walk away from the franchise unless Johnson is dropped.
Gibson has a history of angry posts but his latest takes it to a new level of fast and furious. In fact, he was so angry he couldn’t even spell the name of his own character in the famous franchise correctly.
He wrote: “Hello world.. Hello loyal fans and loved ones from OUR fast universe… I’m sorry to announce that if Dewayne is in Fast9 there will no more Roman Peirce (Pearce).
“You mess with family and my daughters survival I mess with yours.”
The feud stems from Johnson’s decision to pursue a spin-off movie with Jason Staham, which has delayed the production of the ninth Fast & Furious instalment.
Gibson seems to be implying that this has impacetd so badly on his own finances that it is threatening his family’s security.
He then descends to name-calling. Even worse, references to using illegal “juice” to bulk up at the gym seem to be very cleary aimed at the notoriously bulky and muscular Johnson.
Gibson continued: “Close your eyes dude you’re a “Clown”… #CandyAssB****Made All my real one….
“Men on integrity… my real ones out here stand UP…… folks that GO to the gym and get big naturally #NoJuice #NoOJ spin off huh?”
The latest rant follows Gibson’s comments last month to TMZ when he blasted his “selfish and f***ed up” co-star.
Gibson said: “I just got a problem with Dwayne, it appears that he’s being selfish. It appears that he’s so focussed on furthering his own self-interest. He’s making decisions from the seat he is sitting in… it’s f***ed up.”
It seems very unlikely that Gibson will achieve his aim of ousting Johnson, who is a much bigger star, from the franchise.
However, fans will probably be surprised if Roman Pearce manages to make it to movie number nine…
