The iPhone X looks set to be the best smartphone Apple has ever made.
With an edge-to-edge OLED display that covers the entire front of the phone this is the most radical redesign this smartphone has seen since it was launched over 10 years ago.
Along with this new display the iPhone X also features facial recognition technology, called FaceID, which unlocks the device by simple staring at it.
There’s also Apple’s fast A11 Bionic processor, dual-lens camera and the ability to refill it with power wirelessly.
Express.co.uk has already begun reviewing the iPhone X with our full verdict coming very soon.

However our initial iPhone X impressions are good.
Our early verdict said: “The iPhone X looks stunning, is incredibly powerful and the edge-to-edge display now means you get a bigger screen in a device that’s physically smaller in your hand.
“Apple appears to have created an iPhone that’s worthy of it’s 10th anniversary and it could have a very big hit on its hands.”
The iPhone X is available to pre-order now and if you’re still undecided Apple is trying to help convince you about making the leap and upgrading to this new device.
The US technology giant has just published a range of early reviews which, like our opinion, all suggest this is a very good smartphone.
In a post on their website Apple said: “After testing iPhone X, reviewers from around the world are giving their impressions of its beautiful 5.8-inch Super Retina display, TrueDepth camera, Face ID and Animoji.
“Read what they’re saying about the future of the smartphone.”
And here’s some more of those early verdicts.
Tech website, Mashable, said: “Apple’s iPhone X is the beginning of something new. Everything the iPhone X is serves as a roadmap for future iPhones.”
CNET added: “After 10 hours on the streets of San Francisco, mostly in and around Fisherman’s Wharf, I was impressed by how Portrait Mode transformed the everyday selfie into a respectable and elegant photo.”
And TechCrunch confirmed: “What I can tell you is that [Animoji] are cute and super funny. The way that the camera is able to accurately track and map your face, the physics in the models and the fun factor of being able to ‘wear a mask’ combine to make something that’s actually a ton of fun.”
So all looks good for the iPhone X but, before you get too excited, don’t forget this is the most expensive smartphone Apple has ever made.
Prices start from £999 for the 64GB version and rise to £1,100 for the 256GB model.
