Star Wars 8: ‘Luke teaches Rey this SECRET Force power’

Is THIS what he was showing her in the latest trailers?

Everyone knows by now that Luke no longer believes in the Jedi ways.

However, that clearly does not mean he no longer uses the Force, in fact it is looking increasingly likely that he has found even more powerful ways to access his abilities.

A new Star Wars canon source has just revealed that Luke has discovered a hidden and revolutionary way to use the Force.

WARNING POTENTIAL SPOILERS

Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi: The Legends of Luke Skywalker will be released next month and is written by Nebula, Hugo, and World Fantasy award-winning author Ken Liu.

It is an official relese which makes the content part of the new Star Wars canon.

One section tells of Luke’s adventures on the long lost planet of Lew’el with a native teacher, ‘Elder Kyla.’

The native Force users do not even believe in the Dark Side and have their own incredible way of tapping into the powers of the galaxy.

This is called The way of the Tide.

Star Wars theorist Mike Zeroh reports: “I want to explore the possibility of Luke Skywalker using some of the trainig he learned from the Elders with Rey.

“He meets Elder Kyla. They believe any control of the Force is misuse. They agree to teach Luke the Way of the Tide if he agrees to pass on this knowledge in the future.

“For part of the training Luke had to learn how to breathe underwater. In the Last Jedi trailers we see Rey swimming, diving, holding her breath. Could this be a form of training in the Ways of the Tide?”

Zeroh adds: “It is highly possible. It could also be why Luke stayed on the water-covered planet Ahch-To.

“Since all these books are published to get people prepped up for the movie and to learn about all the characters’ past, I do think this may be applied, lightly or heavily, in training Rey in the Ways of the Tide.”

Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi: The Legends of Luke Skywalker (£11.35, Disney Lucasfilm press) is out on November 1
