Rey, Luke and Snoke are the holy trinity of Star Wars theories. Hopefully it will soon be revealed that they are the same person and we can all go home.
The latest main trailer seemd to clear up some of them, but quickly became the focus for a growing belief that much of the trailer was designed to manipulate and mislead.
A new two-minute clip has been released this week which blends shots from the movie with footage from the making of Episode 8.
It also seems to completely disprove a major theory about that shocking scene showing Snoke torturing Rey at the end of the main trailer.

However the new footage exclusively posted by USA Today shows Daisy Ridley with Rian Johnson in Snoke’s throne room. The director seems to be laying out a sequence of moves for the star.
All of this seems to indicate that the throne room scenes are quite involved and not just an isolated vision of being tortured.
On a side note, there is also the extraordinary first-ever sighting of a Praetorian Guard without his helmet.
Hopefully all will be revealed in December, although we suspect a pesky cliffhanger or two might leave fans with another two years to generate another galaxy of theories…
