Injustice 2 PC beta COUNTDOWN: Release details confirmed for open Steam testing

The Injustice 2 PC release has been confirmed by WB games today.

The popular PS4 and Xbox One fighting title will be arriving on Steam later this Autumn, although no release date has been shared.

The new launch will also be preceded by a big bonus for those who want to try before they buy.

The Injustice 2 PC open beta has been confirmed and is set to launch later this week.

The beta testing will kick off tomorrow, although NetherRealm haven’t confirmed a specific launch time.

There isn’t even a Steam page for Injustice 2, so it might be worth fans checking back regualrly to find out more.

It should be noted that while the new open beta will only be available on Steam, PC players will be be able to buy Injustice 2 for Windows.

According to the latest reports, QLOC is developing the PC version of the game, which is still getting new DLC characters each month.

It was recently revealed that the Atom will be part of Fighter Pack 3, after the Hellboy DLC is released.

Injustice 2 fans were treated to their first glimpse of Atom using a TV special aired in the US.

The announcement video said Atom will be arriving “soon”, with reports indicating the release date falling in December.

Injustice 2 gameplay footage of the fourth Atom, aka Ryan Choi, showcased what his fighting style will be like.

Footage showed Atom changing quickly from a regular, human-sized form to a tiny, atomic size and growing to the size of a small building.

As he changes size, Atom is able to either deliver a flurry of quick attacks in his atomic form or a huge, powerful attack in his biggest form.

While in his atomic form, all opponents can see is a slight blue streak flow across the screen as Atom lands fast, dangerous blows.

The footage doesn’t show Atom’s super move, but we’ll hopefully get a glimpse of it ahead of the big DLC launching later this year.

Atom was one of the first superheroes of the Silver Age of comic books and made his debut back in 1961.

NetherRealm director Ed Boon recently commented on the possibility of Injustice 2 coming to Nintendo Switch, commenting that an external team would be needed to handle development.
