At a ceremony at the London Palladium, Cristiano Ronaldo was named the best male footballer in the world for the fourth time in five years. Votes were cast by managers, captains, journalists and fans from Fifa’s member nations, with Ronaldo taking 43% of the vote. Barcelona’s Lionel Messi came second, with PSG’s Neymar third.
