The Marvel Cinematic Universe may be gearing up for climactic epic Avengers Infinity War and its untitled sequel, but plans are already in place for Phase 4 of the franchise.
So far only two films are confirmed in the form of a Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 – although Doctor Strange 2 has also been teased.
Director James Gunn, who helmed the first two Guardians movies with Chris Pratt and co, is currently working on Vol 3 and now has a new update for fans.
Taking to his Instagram, the filmmaker posted a picture of himself holding a Baby Groot mug.
Gunn added: “And one of the films that will kickstart the new story will be Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.”
