World War 3: Iran hits back at Donald Trump and promises to ‘EXPAND’ its missile program

Tehran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), an established wing of the Iranian Army, issued the threatening statement days after the US President announced he is decertifying the country’s nuclear pact.

The IRGC said: “Iran’s ballistic missile program will expand.

“The failure of the diabolical policies of White House officials and the Zionist regime to change the regional map and disintegrate and undermine the Islamic countries.”

The US ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley replied to the recent statement.

She added: “Judging Iran by the narrow confines of the nuclear deal misses the true nature of the threat.

“Iran must be judged in totality of its destructive and unlawful behaviour.

“To do otherwise is foolish.”

Washington recently outlined its new Iran strategy by detailing that it would cut funding to the IRGC “for its malign activities” and called out the group’s “gross violations of human rights”.

According to Bloomberg, Ms Haley used the examples of the group supporting Hezbollah, an Islamic political party in Lebanon, and the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad as reasons for funding withdrawal.

The ambassador went on: “Iran hides behind its assertion of technical compliance with the nuclear deal while it brazenly violates the other limits of its behaviour.

“When a rogue regime starts down the path of ballistic missiles, it tells us that we will soon have another North Korea on our hands.”

The Iranian parliament recently blasted Donald Trump for his refusal to certify the 2015 nuclear deal between the two nations, citing a feud with Barack Obama for the decision.

The speaker for the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Ali Larijani, described the move as a direct insult to Tehran and the UN and blamed the decertification on the Republican’s distaste for his predecessor.

He said: “It seems that Mr Trump not only does not adhere to international agreements but does not feel respect for the UN and demonstrates to all countries that the US government will not adhere to any obligations.

“Iran openly announced that the nuclear weapons have no place in our military doctrine.

“It seems that Mr Trump because of his hostility with Mr Obama would like to destroy the agreement because of internal issues in his own country.”

Before Trump’s decision to decertify the deal, Iran claimed that “all options are on the table” and that a “crushing” reaction will be delivered to the US if the country persists with labelling the Iranian army as a terrorist group.

A senior advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, has warned Washington against associating Tehran’s IRGC as terrorists in a move that significantly increases tensions between the two powers.

The advisor said: “Whatever they do we will take reciprocal measures. All options are on the table.”

After the statements were made, Iran then accused the US of supporting ISIS in a move that mimics statements previously made by Donald Trump.

The US President recently stated: “The Iranian regime supports terrorism and exports violence, bloodshed and chaos across the Middle East. That is why we must put an end to Iran’s continued aggression and nuclear ambitions.”
